If you have hiking boots and use them, you know the paths between green mountains and hills, you also know tours by the sea, rivers and lakes. Few people have ever walked an industrial heritage route or explored the history of a metropolitan region. We looked for nature and industrial culture in large quantities and found them!
The Baldeney Trail and the Pilgrims’ Trail of the Ruhr Bishopric of Essen await hikers: between colliery buildings and industrial ruins on Lake Baldeney, along the Ruhr and Emscher, between modernity and history, hikers will enjoy the surprising insights into a vibrant region!
